Nuevos Horizontes
Nuevos Horizontes is an NGO located in the Modelo state prison of Bucaramanga. In a separate tract, the foundation accommodates around 150 drug-addicted prisoners. In various activities they help them to get rid of their addiction and also focus on re-integration programs.
About the NGO
Founded in the year 2000, Nuevos Horizontes ("New horizons") already helped thousands of men not only to get clean of their addictions, but also to find peace with themselves and reintegrate them into society.

The NGO hosts an accommodation which is separated from the main tracts. In this enclosed environment, the men work in daily activities on their well being as well as on their physical and mental health.
You as a volunteer
The projects cover a wide range of activities based around Sports, Education, Music and Dance activities.
As a volunteer, you e.g. can have your own Sports, Music or Dance session with the men. We are flexible in terms of which projects you chose to engage in. For us it is important that you are doing things that you enjoy!
If you have a particular skill or interest that you want to introduce, just let us know and we can support you in developing a workshop or activity.
