My unique and unforgettable experience volunteering in Colombia

The program Simon and Laura from Bucaravoluntours have created is really WONDERFUL and I wish for more people to join the program and have a similar experience I’ve had🥰

I’ve been lucky enough to have traveled quite a bit but this was my first time visiting Colombia (Bucaramanga being my first stop☺️) and it won’t be my last! What a great introduction to this beautiful country it has been!

The combination of volunteering at the different foundations Bucaravoluntours is connected to taking Spanish lessons, salsa lessons, a cooking workshop, doing signtseeing and exploring and enjoying Bucaramanga and beyond is just perfect! Bucaravoluntours really embraces the concept “social tourism” which to me really is the way to travel.

I cannot thank Tatiana from Bucara Voluntours enough for all her support and guidance during my stay and to make my volunteer experience in Colombia unique and unforgettable. Not being able to speak Spanish well was not a problem at all because she speaks both Spanish and English perfectly. Because of her, I was able to connect with all the Colombian people we met (who all are such wonderful people!), to have a conversation with them and even to improve my Spanish while doing so.

Also, dear Laura and Simon: you should be SO proud of the wonderful community you've created in Bucaramanga! Everyone I’ve met there speaks so highly of the two of you, they have SO much respect for you and for all that you’re doing which I totally understand!

Anyone looking for an opportunity to do volunteer work in beautiful Colombia, to connect with like minded people of all ages, to make new friends from all over the world, to learn more (so much!!!) about the Colombian history, culture, flora & fauna and, last but not least, about it's people from the inside out: I can highly recommend joining Bucaravoluntours' program! You won’t regret it!
